About the event

Part One was all about creating solid relationships with ourselves and others, learning about the changes our body and mind go through in teen years, and requirements to get through them in a safe, confident and reliable way.  We started discovering a few resilience skills and what it takes to solve team problems.

In this program teen girls will build on relationships, and be able to set clear safe boundaries, start learning about what honest responsibility to themselves and others actually means by applying the accountability ladder moving them from a position of helplessness to helpfulness.  In doing so we explore assertive communication but only after we can solidify our whole body listening skills.

We incorporte more tools for resilience such as making common sense common,  remaining grounded, resetting our vagus nerve for resetting our rest and digest mode and more creative fun activities.

A blend of EAL, and non-horse activities.  A day to take a deep breath, learn about what is happening in your daughters teen years to body mind and influences and some simple ways to develop a growth mindset and arm them with skills for now and their future. We encourage sibblings (discount rate applies) to attend and even teens with horses get a lot of learning from not only our equine teachers but the other activities.

Topics include: safe boundaries, communication, creativity and how this builds problem solving skills which in turn builds competence and confidence.

The biggest wish I hear from teen girls is they just want to be accepted in this world as they are rather than always trying to fit in.  This program is designed to give them the skills and opportunity to be strong and proud of who they are.

Feedback from our first program in March.  We highly recommend the Teen Girl Power Workshop facilitated by Karen at her stunning property at Kinglake. Karen is a true leader, highly experienced, inspirational and passionate about working with and empowering teens. The day absolutely exceeded our expectations. My daughter says 'The workshop taught me to be more resilient' and 'It was awesome!'.  There were activities which consisted of learning about ourselves, in particular our relationships within ourselves and to each other, problem solving 'out of the box' and most of all having lots of fun along the way!!! There were so many golden moments and the highlights were working with the beautiful horses as they were our true teachers.  The experience is unique and unforgettable. Karen is professional, so easy to talk to and was always available to explain any questions that we had. Karen explained everything along the way and was an absolute pleasure to work with. My daughter is really looking forward to attending Day 2 of the Power Teen Workshop. Thank you Karen for a wonderful and memorable day.
